MISS KRISTY

Miss Kristy is the Director of the Learning Centre. She held the position of Director, Senior Teacher and Authorised Supervisor of the Southern Highlands Early Childhood Learning Centre from February 2002 to August 2006 From late 2006 till April 2008 she lived and worked in Singapore but has now returned to the Centre as Director from April 2008. 

Kristy has overall responsibility for management of the Centre. She works closely with Centre Teachers in the development of the learning and developmental programmes at The Learning Centre, in an experienced, well qualified and caring partnership that provides a challenging and supportive environment for staff and a caring, professional environment for the children in care at the Centre.

In addition to her management and administrative duties at the Learning Centre, Kristy heads up the teaching staff Joeys Room with Miss Bianca. Miss Bianca moved to the Joeys Room in 2010 after several years in the Possums Room.

Kristy has a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) from the University of Wollongong and has previously worked in a number of centres in metropolitan Sydney before commencing her senior position with The Learning Centre.
